Stella is a very sweet 6 year old female. She is spayed and housebroken. Stella has spent a lot of time alone during her previous 6 years and exhibits some anxiety, stress effects and light fixation. This can be tamed with LOTS of exercise. Stella is currently living with her foster parents and another vizsla, which she really enjoys the camaraderie and playing. All this is new for her.
Before Stella came into rescue , she came from a home where she was the only dog so she does not like to share her toys with anyone. ( But what dog does?) Stella has developed a guarding issue with toys. but, when she is asked Stella will hand it over.
She is also sensitive and likes things done on her terms.
That's a female! Stella is sensitive to changes in her surroundings so she easily gets spooked, but calms down with reassurance. Stella wants to please and is working on her impulse control. She also has a crate where she feels secured in and likes to take naps in. A perfect home for Stella would be a patient owner to show her that she is safe and loved! and one on one TLC! Sorry no children.
She does have some food allergies and we found that WELLNESS DOG FOOD to be very helpful. Stella does have a broken tooth that will need to be removed. Shes a dominant female, but loves to play with other dogs and completely ignores cats. Her favorite thing is to play with a Frisbee and have her belly rubbed. Stella is quite the snuggle bug!
